Daily Makeup Removal/Skincare *Updated*

Hiii, today I have my makeup removal and my skincare routine for you! Sometimes I get quite bad skin at weird and random times so I worked really hard to try and put together something that would work for when I have bad skin and for when I don't. I'm really happy with it at the moment so I thought I'd share it with you!

The first thing that I do is wipe any eye make up off using this remover from Simple. I've always been quite wary with using eye removers so I've always just used water. But I'm so glad I got out of that mindset, they are so good! I love this one because, like it says, it's kind to eyes and obviously, you don't want anything harsh on your eyes. I definitely recommend this!

To get rid of the rest of my make up, I use this Facial Wash Gel, again from Simple. If I did a 'Favourites' post every month, I guarantee that this would be there every month, it is incredible! I did a post about this a few months ago so I won't go into detail but if you're interested in this, go and check out my other post!

Lastly, again from Simple, I use their Toner. I'm so glad I picked this up because one, it's good for getting any remaining bits of make up off and two, it makes refreshes my skin, especially in the morning. I know quite a few people are unsure about toners, as was I, but I honestly think this one is so incredible for my skin.

While I'm on the subject of Simple, on their website they have a section called 'You and Your Skin' and if you go on that, it directs you to start a questionnaire. It asks you a bunch of questions about your skin and your skincare routine and it comes up with ways in which you can improve certain bits. It also gives you a lot of information about each part of getting good skin. If you're unsure about what you're doing wrong or you just want more information about your skin, then I'd definitely check this out! It's helped me so much!

After taking my makeup off, I will use these pads from Avon. They are small pads, just a little bigger than a 2p coin and they are amazing! I just take about 5 minutes and gently rub them over my skin and they leave my skin feeling amazing and refreshed. I can't really describe how good they are or what it's like afterwards, it's just one of them things you have to try to really understand how good they are.

After I've wiped all of my make up off, I use this moisturizer from Nivea. I love it so much! It's so light and it has SPF 15 so what more could you want?!

I thought I'd show you this because it's so affordable but the products last ages anyway so you don't really spend a lot. Anyway, I hope you liked it!

Alys' Birthday Shenanigans!

Hiii, bit of mixed emotions towards last week but it was all good in the end because yesterday it was ALYS' BIRTHDAY PARTY!! We went to Frankie and Benny's and then we went to the cinema to watch Jurassic World!

Here we are! Don't we look dashing.

Anyway, Frankie and Benny's was really really nice! If you haven't been to F&B's, you should go, the food is amazing and the waiters are always so lovely! In F&B's, if you're there for a birthday, you can take your own cake and after your meal, they bring it out for you. HOWEVER, they turn all of the lights off and play 'Happy Birthday' and then the whole restaurant sings to you, which is so cute! You should definitely go there for that reason, it's wicked!

So, we got Alys a cake and the whole restaurant sang happy birthday. Alys, you're welcome.

We also went to watch Jurassic World which was absolutely incredible! (I'm watching Jurassic Park as we speak.) The way that they've made the film, especially with the effects and making everything look so real is amazing, you'd actually think they actually filmed it with dinosaurs! I'm pretty sure everyone's a fan of Jurassic Park so I definitely recommend going to watch the new one!

Naturally, because it was a party, we did take a LOT of pictures. So I just got everyone to send me them and I went through them and picked out the best ones so here you go!

There you go, a little insight into my day I suppose! Hope you liked it!

Oh, and if you go and see Jurassic World...Enjoy!

10 Years Time

Hiii, a few weeks ago Alfie Deyes and Will Darbyshire posted videos on YouTube about the future and left me with the question:

Where do you think you're going to be in 10 years time?

This question has never really entered my mind but since watching these two videos, it has left me very, very, very baffled. I'm only 16, but thinking of it, in 10 years time I'm going to be nearly 27 and by that time most people have their lives sorted. They have a really good, reliable job, a stable relationship and maybe even kids. To me, that's a really scary thought.

At school, you're taught to kind of know what you want to do when you leave school, whether it be college, university, a job, an apprenticeship etc. I leave school in a year and I have absolutely no idea what I want to do. 5 years ago, I was adamant that I was going to sixth form, university then I would find a job with the degree I had. Now, I'm completely against university. I feel like I've had no time to explore and get experience. Obviously, I've had holidays and gone for days out to places but I'd love to visit different places in the UK and see some of the landmarks. But is this irresponsible? Should I be going to uni and finding a job straight after? That would be the most mature thing to do but I just don't see myself enjoying it at all.

I think 10 years is a massive step, especially from my age and I just don't think I'm ready to fully answer it yet. There are always bumps in the road and they might affect the way you look at life and what happens so right now at such a young age, it's scary to plan that far ahead. My life has changed so much in the last 5 years so will it change again during the next 5? Maybe. I don't know what I want to do in a years time, never mind 10 so to me, I think that I need a few years to actually think about it. Obviously, I want a good job and one that I actually enjoy but other than that, I'm not sure where I stand.

I don't think there's anything wrong with not knowing, it just makes it a bit more of an experience. I'm lucking forward to the next few years of my life because I'll learn so much more by doing things for myself and going out and exploring different things.

So in response to the question, I honestly don't know. Life's so uncertain and you might as well just enjoy it while you can.

This might seem like a pointless post but I felt like I needed to write my thoughts down and not just have them floating around in my head. Let me know what your plans are for the future, maybe not 10 years but maybe a year or 5.

My Favourite Books

Hiii, today I thought I would write about my favourite books! I never used to be a big reader but in the last 2 years or so, I can't seem to put a book down. I like reading certain books because you get more of an experience that watching a film and I think that if you find a book like that, it's definitely worth a read.

I think there's a couple of books that I've missed out of this but if I think of them I'll just add them in later on!

The first book is 'Girl Online' by Zoe Sugg (Zoella). I think the story line for this book is amazing, it's so gripping! I really like it because I think it's so hard to write a book and to go from a YouTuber to an author is incredible! I have done a full review on this so go and check that out if you like!

Next, is 'Love, Tanya' by Tanya Burr. This is one of my favourites because it's really chatty and after I read it I felt I knew a lot more about Tanya. Also, she gives amazing tips on skin, beauty etc so if you're interested in that, then it's a really good read!

I got this from Alys for my birthday 2 years ago I think and I love it! It's all about Michael Jackson's life through Jermaine Jackson's perspective. It talks about their life when they were really young and growing up to a few years ago. It was really good to read this because I think you learnt a lot more about Michael Jackson by it being written by his brother.

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS! Obviously, written by John Green! I love the film but the book is so much better! It's such a sad book but it's amazing! I must say, I did cry a lot, however it was definitely worth it!

This next one was written by Mitch Winehouse about his daughter, Amy. Throughout the book, it talks about her life, how they've dealt with it as a family and how they set up the 'Amy Winehouse Foundation.' I loved Amy Winehouse and it was so sad when she died, especially at such a young age and it was amazing to read about how her family had dealt with it as well.

'Never Coming Back' by Tim Weaver is an absolutely incredible book!! It's the most gripping book I've ever read, it's amazing! It's amazing how he wrote it, you just don't expect anything that happens and it's incredible! I definitely want to read the others he has written!

The next one is 'Looking For Alaska' again, by John Green. Personally, this is my favourite book by John Green because you can't judge what's going to happen and it's just very real and yeah, it's amazing! I suggest you read it!

The next two are both by Giovanna Fletcher, and they're called 'You're The One That I Want' and 'Billy and Me.' I LOVE THESE TWO SO MUCH! Giovanna is such an amazing writer and both story lines for these books are incredible! AND, she has another one coming out next month so I'm so so so excited for that!!

This one isn't exactly a novel but it's still a book I guess so, it's 'The Craft' by Lou Teasdale. Firstly, Lou Teasdale is amazing, I love her dearly. Secondly, the book is amazing for tips on hair, nails and beauty so again, if you like this kind of thing, it's amazing! She's an amazing stylist so reading something from a professional is so worthwhile and I've learnt so much!

Lastly and probably my favourite book EVER is 'Miles To Go' by Miley Cyrus. I was quite young when I read it and it was the first 'grown up' book that I ever read. I grew up watching Hannah Montana and I loved Miley Cyrus, she was probably my first idol for so many different reasons. To read a book about her life was incredible because you learnt more about her as a person rather than just seeing her on the TV.

Let me know if you've ever read any of these or if you have any suggestions on books that I should read!

Powder

Hiii, sorry it's been a while! I've had a few exams this week so they've been my main priority.

Anyway, a few weeks ago I found a little shop online called 'Powder' and they have the cutest collection of scarves, gloves and hats which are perfect for Spring or Winter. However they have a section on their website which sells scarves which are perfect for Spring. Unfortunately, there's only like a month left of Spring..I think..BUT Summer in the UK isn't very warm so they'll be perfect for then as well!

So, I've picked out a few of my favourite products for you!

The first one I really like is this Collette scarf. I absolutely love the colour and especially in Spring, it will look gorgeous! It's currently £18 and it comes in 4 other colours which you can find HERE. I think all of the colours are gorgeous but I absolutely love lilac so I'd go for this one.

I also really like this Lillian scarf. I picked this one in the colour Mint because I love this colour in Spring. I think it looks so nice with everything! You can get this for £16 which is amazing, it's such a gorgeous scarf!

Next, there's the Silk Japanese Cherry Blossom scarf in the colour Raspberry. I love the design on this, I think it's so so pretty! I think it's so original and that's what draws you to it.  I think it would look amazing with a plain white dress as well. And it's only £20!

I honestly think these are these Ingrid gloves are the nicest I've ever seen, they're gorgeous! I absolutely love checks so I was sold the first time I saw them. They're only £16.50 which I can't believe, they're worth so much more than that!

I could go on and on about my favourites from Powder but I would be here all day! I would definitely recommend this shop for Spring or Winter, they have so many products suitable for both! And they're so cheap!

If you want to have a look at any more of their products, you can find them HERE

:) xx
