GRWM: Wedding Party Edition

Hiii, as promised I have the 'Get Ready With Me' from last week! I went to a wedding party and I actually really liked the make up, it was completely different from anything I've ever done so I thought I'd share it with you!

I've come to the conclusion this week that I'm not quite ready to post selfies on here. I'm not sure why but it's something that scares me quite a lot so I've re-created this look in a way that I'm most comfortable with. By drawing. I've always found myself drawing in different situations and I find it de-stressing...(Is that a word?). Some of you may find this a bit of an odd way of doing this but this is something I do regularly when finding new make up looks and I thought it would be good to share it this way with you!

ENJOY!

Let's  get started!

Firstly, I used the No7 Stay Perfect Shine Free Primer. This is by far my favourite primer because it gives such a smooth base for my foundation. It lasts all day and doesn't let my make up slip around during the day.

Like always, I then used the No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation. It goes on so well on top of the primer and it has the best coverage of foundations I've ever used.

Moving onto concealer, I used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. This is by far one of the best concealers I've owned. It works so well for covering spots and even acne scars. It lasts so long and I don't have to worry about it creasing.

For under eye concealer, I used No7's Matchmade Concealer in Caliclo which is one shade lighter than my skin. I just use this to brighten my under eye area and to cover dark circles which this concealer is very good for!

For brows, I picked the trustworthy Collection Work The Colour Nude Eye Palette and I used the top right brown for this. It's super easy to use and it's not too heavy and bold.

Firstly for the eyes I used an eye primer from Avon and set it with 'Foxy' from the Naked 2 Palette.

I then packed on the colour 'Half Baked' from the Naked 2 Palette and added a bit of definition in the crease using the colour 'Busted' again, from this palette. I also took Busted into a V in the outer corners and created a smokey eye. I made sure to blend both colours, especially Busted, upwards because if I did it downwards, it would make my eyes look dull and that's not a look I want to go for!

I also took 'Blackout' on a small angled brush and pushed it into my top and bottom lashes and blended lightly to intensify the lash line. Basically using eyeshadow as an eyeliner. I'm not much of an eyeliner person (mainly because I can't do it) but eyeshadow is so much easier to do and personally, I think it completes any eye look.

Where I applied Half Baked, I went over and added the Barry M Dazzle Eye Shadow in Gold. I loved using this because it stood out but it wasn't bold and in your face so it made it a lot easier to wear.

To finish the eyes, I used the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara. I absolutely love this, it's so easy to apply and creates a false lash effect.

For bronzer I dug out my old favourite and used the Bourjois Délice de Poudre Gold Bronzing Powder just to add a little definition and to add a bit of colour to my face.

Moving onto lips, I started by using a small angled brush to apply my lipstick to outline my lips slightly to make it slightly easier for me to apply the lipstick. The lipstick I used was the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture in 64 Fuschia Danger. This is by far my favourite part of the look, I absolutely adore this lipstick!

Feel free to re-create this and let me see! Tag me on Instagram, Twitter or email me, I'd be happy to see them!

Thanks for reading!

Summer Make Up Look

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hiii, today I have 2 eye looks for you! I really love these make up looks and I find them really easy to wear in the summer but I have worn them a few times for school. They're really subtle but they make me look a bit fresher (especially useful during them early mornings!). The two looks are pretty much the same except there is an expensive and cheap choice for this look!

Firstly, the products that I used, not including the eyes:
Primer ( I don't think it cost this much?!)
Foundation  (I have mine in 180 Sand Beige)
Concealer (Mine is in Cool Medium - honestly the BEST concealer!)
For lips, I use any stick or gloss in a pale pink or pinky orange, like THIS (In Flirt)

For the eyes:

For the slightly more expensive version of this look, I used the Naked3 Palette.
I absolutely love it and the colours are perfect for summer!

DUST and BURNOUT are very similar so I start off by using either of them just to cover my lid.  They are both really shimmery colours so I take LIMIT and run it through my crease just to tone the shimmer down. And that's it. It's really simple and it looks effortless but amazing!

For the cheaper version, I use this palette from Peacocks. I think it's about £7. It's a lot cheaper but still gives near enough the same look!

For this one, I start off by using the second colour which is a pale cream and then I run the pink colour through the crease to add a bit of colour! And again, that's it!

I hope you enjoyed this! The looks are super super easy! If you recreate either of these, let me see! Tag me on Instagram/Twitter or send them to me by email!

Daily Makeup Removal/Skincare *Updated*

Hiii, today I have my makeup removal and my skincare routine for you! Sometimes I get quite bad skin at weird and random times so I worked really hard to try and put together something that would work for when I have bad skin and for when I don't. I'm really happy with it at the moment so I thought I'd share it with you!

The first thing that I do is wipe any eye make up off using this remover from Simple. I've always been quite wary with using eye removers so I've always just used water. But I'm so glad I got out of that mindset, they are so good! I love this one because, like it says, it's kind to eyes and obviously, you don't want anything harsh on your eyes. I definitely recommend this!

To get rid of the rest of my make up, I use this Facial Wash Gel, again from Simple. If I did a 'Favourites' post every month, I guarantee that this would be there every month, it is incredible! I did a post about this a few months ago so I won't go into detail but if you're interested in this, go and check out my other post!

Lastly, again from Simple, I use their Toner. I'm so glad I picked this up because one, it's good for getting any remaining bits of make up off and two, it makes refreshes my skin, especially in the morning. I know quite a few people are unsure about toners, as was I, but I honestly think this one is so incredible for my skin.

While I'm on the subject of Simple, on their website they have a section called 'You and Your Skin' and if you go on that, it directs you to start a questionnaire. It asks you a bunch of questions about your skin and your skincare routine and it comes up with ways in which you can improve certain bits. It also gives you a lot of information about each part of getting good skin. If you're unsure about what you're doing wrong or you just want more information about your skin, then I'd definitely check this out! It's helped me so much!

After taking my makeup off, I will use these pads from Avon. They are small pads, just a little bigger than a 2p coin and they are amazing! I just take about 5 minutes and gently rub them over my skin and they leave my skin feeling amazing and refreshed. I can't really describe how good they are or what it's like afterwards, it's just one of them things you have to try to really understand how good they are.

After I've wiped all of my make up off, I use this moisturizer from Nivea. I love it so much! It's so light and it has SPF 15 so what more could you want?!

I thought I'd show you this because it's so affordable but the products last ages anyway so you don't really spend a lot. Anyway, I hope you liked it!

AVON

Hiii, as some of you might know, I went to an AVON evening a couple of weeks ago so I thought I'd tell you a bit about that and I also bought some things whilst I was there so I thought I'd show you them as well!

Before I start, I am not in any way associated with AVON, this is just my opinion.

The first thing that we ordered was these bubble baths. They are in the scents Strawberry Sorbet, Lavender, White Lily and Pomegranate & Peony. In case you're wondering, I've lost the Pomegranate & Peony one, I have absolutely no idea where it is! And these were 4 for £5 which I think is really good! My favourite has to be the White Lily, it smells absolutely amazing!

This is the Clear Skin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask which is £3. I had to order this so it only came Sunday I think, so I actually only tried it for the first time today and even though I've only used it once, I love it. It's given me a really natural blush on my face and it's left my skin feeling so soft!

This is actually my mum's but oh well, it's just a plain nail file which is £1.50!

Next is the Gel Finish Nail Varnish in the colour Prefectly Plum which is £3.75. I've got a lilac purple and a baby pink in the gel and they're so good so when I saw this colour, I had to try it! It's a dark plum colour and it's absolutely gorgeous!

This is my favourite red nail varnish that I have now. It's from the Hollywood Collection in the colour Leading Lady for £5. It's a really rich red and it's so gorgeous. My mum is really tanned and she wore it last week I think and it looked so amazing, the colour stands out so much!

Like I said at the beginning, I went to a AVON evening where a woman in my village, who is an AVON representative, held this to raise money for our local Guides. She was giving us an insight to what being a representative is like and she was encouraging us to become interested in AVON.

Personally, AVON is one of my favourite brands. It's so affordable and the products are really high quality. There have been a few products which I have bought from a highstreet store and I've found similar products in AVON for a lot cheaper.

I'm not saying to completely ditch any other shops and stick to AVON but I honestly think it's worth a look. They have a website so go and check it out!

Make Up Starter Kit

Hiii, today I have a make up starter kit for you which basically has everything I think you will need if you're starting to wear make up. Some of you have probably seen some of these before but this is my take on it!

Before I start, I need to apologize for the pictures! I had to change where I was taking them just for today and they all have shadows so I'm very sorry!

The first thing that is essential when you're wearing make up is a good face wash. I picked up the Simple Kind To Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel a few weeks ago and I love it. It's about £3 and it's so worth it! I have noticed an incredible difference in the last few weeks so if you're starting to wear make up or you already wear it, this is definitely something I would recommend!

Another product that is essential is moisturiser. The one I tend to use is the Nivea Daily Essentials Light Moisturising Day Cream. As well as keeping your skin fresh, moisturiser helps as a base for your foundation which is so useful!

If you are lucky enough to have good skin, I would use tinted moisturiser rather than a foundation. One that I found works really well is the Natural Collection Tinted Moisturiser. It comes in three different colours and this is the Natural shade which is £1.99. I still use tinted moisturiser now, for example, if I'm having a good skin day (which is not very often) and I'm just popping to town for half an hour, I'll wear this so I don't have to go through the whole process of putting make up on when there's no need to.

However if you're looking for something with a bit more coverage because like me, you have bad skin, then I would recommend the Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation which is £7.99. I have had this since I started wearing make up and it was so useful at the beginning because it gave me good coverage without it being too thick.

One thing that isn't essential is concealer. But just in case, I would recommend the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer. This is £5.49 but it is so worth it! I've used this since I started wearing make up and I still wear it now. It just adds a little bit more coverage in places like under your eyes or on spots.

On to mascara, this is probably one of my favourites and it is the Collection Lengthening Mascara and it is £2.99. This isn't the one that I used but I didn't know about this at the time. With most mascaras, you can't wear them for day and night but with this one you can. It lasts a good few hours so there's no need to keep re-applying it throughout the day.

The Collection Work The Colour Nude Eye Palette can be used for two things which are eyeshadow or for eyesbrows. It is £2.99 from Boots. Before I started filling in my eyebrows, I used this as an eyeshadow palette. The colours are so easy to wear and they are simple to apply. As for eyesbrows, I don't like thick eyebrows so I go for a more natural brow by just filling them in with some eyeshadow.
What I really like about this palette is the fact that it comes with a 'How To Use' section on the back which is so useful if you're just starting out.

I know a lot of people like bolder colours so this one is definitely useful. I can't find this one in the brochure or on the website but they do very similar ones for about £7. I found it really useful when I was starting to get into eyeshadow so I would definitely say it's worth a try. My cousin has one and she's 14 and I know she loves it as well, especailly with the colours.

I hope you enjoyed this! I tried to keep it as simple and as cheap as possible, so I hope it was helpful!

My Favourite...

Hiii, I thought that I would do a new section where I will show you my favourite of something, like a book or t-shirt. So, today I have my favourite day lipstick for you!

It was so easy to pick this one. Without a doubt, it has to be the Avon Ultra Colour Lipstick Shimmering Shades in the colour Chic which is £7.50. I absolutely love this colour! It looks a darkish brown but when it's on, it's a dark peach/light brown.

It is so easy to wear and it doesn't stand out too much which is good for when you want to wear a lipstick but you don't want anything too much.

The lipstick itself is amazing. It's difficult to find a lipstick that will stay on for quite a while but this one does. You can drink, eat, whatever and it will still be near enough like you've just put it on.

There is a lot of different types like Matte and Satin and they have so many different colours so I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Nail Varnishes

Hiii, today I have some of my favourite nail varnishes for you! There is a lot more but these are SOME of my favourites!

This nail varnish is from  AVON and it's a really lovely lilac colour. I absolutely love this colour and the nail varnish itself is so so easy to use! My Nan got me this colour and a baby pink colour in a gel finish not too long ago and they're both so nice! I'd say the gels are more of a party nail varnish and this one is more of a day nail varnish.

This one is a nail varnish from technic. I love it so much, it's such a gorgeous colour and it looks so lovely in the summer!

These two are Kate Spade New York by Nails Inc London. These two have to be my absolute favourites. I have a lot of nail varnishes that take at least two coats to get the best colour but with these two you can wear one and it will look amazing, there is no need for two. I definitely recommend trying these!

This is from the Kelly Brook collection at NewLook. This nail varnish comes in a pack of two with a royal blue and together they look so nice! They are both really pretty party colours.

I don't actually know where this nail varnish is from so that's not very helpful but I'm sure you'd be able to find a similar colour in any highstreet store! In the jar it looks a really dark red/brown colour but it's actually quite a bit lighter and on your nails, it's more of a maroon colour.

These are from Rita Ora's 60 Seconds from Rimmel London. The purple is in the colour 'Midnight Rendezvo' and the blue is in the colour 'Breakfast In Bed.' I absolutely love these because obviously, they take 60 seconds to dry and they're so easy to apply!

:) xx
