Girl Online - Zoe Sugg

Hiii, firstly I'd like to apoligise for not posting for a while! However, today I have a review  on Zoe Sugg's first book which is Girl Online! (Well it's not really a review at all...it's just me telling you my feelings on this book.)

I have read so many reviews on this book and sometimes I think people are a little bit harsh by saying that she shouldn't be able to bring out a book because she's a YouTuber but I think it's really unfair. She has worked incredibly hard to be where she is now and totally deserves this book deal and everything she's achieved.

ANYWAY, I should start by saying I have fallen in love with this book. I actually managed to finish this book in about 2 days I think, I honestly could not put it down. It is one of them books where you want to know what happens in the end but when it ends you just feel really sad because you want it to carry on.

I laughed so much through this book. Not just because it was hilarious but because of some of the things Penny did and it was so relatable.

(Don't read this part if you haven't read the book yet!) I honestly felt so angry and devastated when she found out that Noah had lied to her but then he went to Brighton to find her and it was the cutest thing ever. I hope there's someone reading this who feels this way otherwise I sound really sad..

I am so so proud of Zoe for writing such an amazing book, I waited so long to read it and it exceeded my expectations. It was her first book and honestly, was one of the best books I have ever read! I definitely recommend reading this book and then we can cry/laugh/whatever together... Go check out her videos, she's a lovely person and definitely deserves everything she's achieved!!

Makeup Brushes

Hiii, today I have the make up brushes that I use on a daily basis. I know a lot of people will spend so much money on makeup brushes but there are a few quality brushes which are cheap so I'll show you some of them as well!

Firstly, these are the brushes that I will use for my concealer. These are both from brushes from the Core Collection from Real Techniques. I use the thicker brush for liquid concealer like the Rimmel London Wake Me Up concealer. If I'm using a stick founder like one from No7 then I will use a thinner brush.

This is also from the Core Collection from Real Technqiues. I use this for foundation because I think it gives an amazing finish. I know a lot of people that use this brush for contouring so just use it for whatever you think works best.

This is one of the cheaper ones that I wanted to show you which is from Wilko. I use this for bronzer/blusher and I love it. Personally, I don't think you can tell that it is from a cheaper shop.

This is my face blender brush which I will use for applying powder to set my foundation. If you use powder after bronzer, then a face blender brush works so well because as you apply the powder, ti blends everything out and I think it gives a more natural look. I'm not 100% sure where I got this from but it might have been Boots. They did a deal with about 4 in but it was a few years ago so good luck finding it!

This is also from Wilko which is very very good. Personally, I don't see the need to spend a lot on eye makeup brushes because I think it goes on the same but some people will disagree so that's cool.

You can get these anywhere, they're so cheap and they are so useful. They make your eyebrows look a lot better for like £2. Bargain.

This one is also from Wilko. It's 'purpose' on the packaging was for eyeliner but I prefer using it for my eyebrows. I use a powder for my eyebrows so I feel like it goes on much better and looks a lot more natural with a slanted brush.

Nail Varnishes

Hiii, today I have some of my favourite nail varnishes for you! There is a lot more but these are SOME of my favourites!

This nail varnish is from  AVON and it's a really lovely lilac colour. I absolutely love this colour and the nail varnish itself is so so easy to use! My Nan got me this colour and a baby pink colour in a gel finish not too long ago and they're both so nice! I'd say the gels are more of a party nail varnish and this one is more of a day nail varnish.

This one is a nail varnish from technic. I love it so much, it's such a gorgeous colour and it looks so lovely in the summer!

These two are Kate Spade New York by Nails Inc London. These two have to be my absolute favourites. I have a lot of nail varnishes that take at least two coats to get the best colour but with these two you can wear one and it will look amazing, there is no need for two. I definitely recommend trying these!

This is from the Kelly Brook collection at NewLook. This nail varnish comes in a pack of two with a royal blue and together they look so nice! They are both really pretty party colours.

I don't actually know where this nail varnish is from so that's not very helpful but I'm sure you'd be able to find a similar colour in any highstreet store! In the jar it looks a really dark red/brown colour but it's actually quite a bit lighter and on your nails, it's more of a maroon colour.

These are from Rita Ora's 60 Seconds from Rimmel London. The purple is in the colour 'Midnight Rendezvo' and the blue is in the colour 'Breakfast In Bed.' I absolutely love these because obviously, they take 60 seconds to dry and they're so easy to apply!

Naked2 Palette from Urban Decay

Hiii, today I thought I would review the Naked2 Palette from Urban Decay. I bought it a few months ago and I love it so much! Personally, I think the Naked palettes are the best. They are so easy to wear and they are the type of colours you can wear any time of the day.

You can't see the names clearly so, from left to right: FOXY, HALF BAKED, BOOTYCALL, CHOPPER, TEASE, SNAKEBITE, SUSPECT, PISTOL, VERVE, YDK, BUSTED, BLACKOUT.

The good thing about the Naked palettes is that you don't need a lot on the brush when you're applying it. The colour shows up exactly the same no matter how much you put on your brush.

Personally, I use the colour FOXY as a colour to highlight under the eyebrow. I won't use it all of the time but when you're going out to a party and you've got dark eyeshadow on, it makes such a difference and it makes the eyeshadow stand out.

HALF BAKED, BOOTYCALL and CHOPPER are more subtle so these are really good for the day especially if you're going shopping or any occasion where you want something to stand out but not be a main feature. CHOPPER looks so amazing in the autumn or winter. I don't know why but it looks really nice when it's cold.

The remaining 8 colours in the palette are obviously your night colours. I find that these colours go with anything. I can wear any colour lipstick and clothes and it will still effectively stand out.

Even though it's difficult to choose, my favourites are the colours YDK and BUSTED. They go with any of the colours and they look incredible!!

With the Naked Palette you get a crease and shadow brush which I am also in love with. I feel like I don't have to wash this brush as often as other brushes because most of it is used when applying.

Also, you get 4 eyeshadow primer testers. With this one I got primers in the colours ORIGINAL, EDEN, SIN and ANTI-AGING. The primers are meant to hold the eyeshadow in place for 24 hours but I've never kept it on that long but I'm sure it works!

I hope you liked this, let me know in the comments!

My "Go To" Hairstyle

Hiii, today I have this really easy hairstyle for you! It is so simple and takes no effort at all to do!

At night, wash your hair and leave it until it's about 90% dry and do a really quick, messy plait. Sleep on it and when you wake up it will (hopefully) look a bit like this!

Due to my layers, the front pieces of my hair fall out overnight so after I've taken the plait out I will take a small section of the front from around my face and curl it with the straighteners (or curlers, whatever you use!).

And that's it. You're left with these really easy waves. Mine will last 2 days so I mainly use this when I'm in school because it means I can have a lie in...

I hope this works for everyone because it is so easy and I love it!

Daily Makeup Removal

Hiii! I thought I would show you how I remove my makeup and what products etc that I use! Everyone has their own way of doing this so I'm not saying this is the way you have to do it but I find doing this easy and it works for me.

First, just wash your face with water. I prefer to use warm water but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea so use whatever temperature works best for you!
(There is water in the sink..somewhere)

Next, I will use one of these to remove any makeup that I have around my eyes and to remove any makeup that didn't come off before.

The bottle on the left is the Nivea 3 in 1 Cleansing Water for sensitive skin. There are so many ways you can use this product and they all give the same result so I definitely recommend this.

The right bottle is the Nivea Daily Essentials Gentle Cleansing Lotion for dry and sensitive skin. This is an old product so I'm not sure if they still have it but both products work exactly the same! I normally use this one for when I've had a lot of makeup on and there's still a bit on after washing my face.

After I've made sure that it's all off, I will use either of these products as a moisturiser.

The product on the left is the Nivea Daily Essentials Light Moisturising Day Cream. It's a really light moisturiser and it works so well with the other Nivea products.

The product on the right is the Along Came Betty Body Lotion. There isn't a strong enough word to tell you how much I love this product. This one is peach and apricot and oh my god, I love it! I got a few of the products for Christmas and I think I've used at least one every day since.
(There is a lot of different Along Came Betty products that I recommend because they are all so so so amazing!)

New Year's Resolutions

Hiii, I thought I would do something completely different today so I hope you like it! I have thought really hard this year about what my New Year’s resolutions could be but I came up with 3 things that I think I really need after realising my mistakes last year. If you haven't made yours yet, it’s not too late…(but hurry up, we're a third through January already!) :)

The first (and very common) resolution is to be healthy! I don't necessarily want to lose weight but I want to feel healthy. I eat a lot of junk food so by cutting some of that out, drinking more water and getting up and actually doing something rather than being lazy will help me a lot. Be healthy also helps with your skin looking refreshed and free of spots so I definitely want to start improving my diet.

Secondly, I want to do what makes me happy. I'm the type of person that will worry about what other people think. If I think that I will get judged because of something I want to do, I won't do it. But this year, I've decided that I want to change it. My mum has been telling me for years to just do it anyway so I'm finally taking her advice and doing what makes me happy!

The last one is to not worry about people that don’t worry about me. Last year I spent so much time trying to please people and worrying about them when they really didn't care about me at all. I went into 2015 without them and I've learnt to only need the people that need me. I want to carry on doing this because I think I will be much happier.

I hope you all enjoyed this! Let me know in the comments if you want anything like this again. I’m open to constructive criticism so feel free to leave me some and I’ll take it all on board!

NewLook Checks

All items have been purchased from NewLook. I am absolutely in love with all of them! All of the items are so comfortable to wear and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The shirts are so easy to wear and they are so nice when paired up with a pair of jeans.

Likewise, the shorts are a must have! They are so easy to wear all year round. Add a plain top for the warmer days and a pair of tights for the colder ones! You can't go wrong with these shorts!!

The dress. The dress is my absolute favourite. Personally, I don't like wearing tights with it because it dresses it down a lot and I like to wear it when I'm dressing up.
